What are the Professional Standards for Dance?
This is a best practices guide which promotes and supports professional standards and conditions of work in dance. It provides basic guidelines intended for the members of CADA/East in negotiating work agreements – all dance artists are welcome to use it.
The Professional Standards for Dance provides suggested standards regarding hours of work, fee schedules, and working conditions. It also outlines rights and responsibilities in work agreements. These guidelines recommend minimums and do not preclude the negotiation of further terms of agreement as determined by negotiating parties.

The PSD was last updated in April, 2021. CADA/East will engage in updates regularly as the pandemic continues and performances and contracts are being cancelled due to ongoing restrictions.
