free rehearsal space at nbs is Temporarily unavailable, but the Open space program is now accepting applications for free studio space in Toronto!  Details below.

National Ballet School (NBS) update:  January 2022: Please note that the National Ballet School studio is currently not renting any studio space and limiting outside visitors.  We expect to continue our partnership when it is safe and feasible to do so, and we will update our membership when they open to rentals again.

Pre-pandemic, DUO clients and CADA/East Professional Members had access to free evening studio space at Canada’s National Ballet School, 400 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario between the hours of 8-10pm, Monday-Friday.

The aim is to restore our free studio space partnership in April/May 2022.  Clients and members  will then be able to book rehearsals through the joint agreement made between the National Ballet School, the Dance Umbrella of Ontario, and CADA/East.

Please note that free space is available exclusively during the above listed hours and is limited on a first-come, first served basis. For all other National Ballet School rental enquiries, please contact rentals@nbs-enb.ca.
